I have made a refectory table in elm, some time ago.
This was copied from the book, Making Country Furniture, by Alex Web, I have made several pieces from this book.
The 72"x 34" x1 1/2" book matched top, from 2 pieces, was to have been finished in a hard varnish.
'Er indoors is not likely to welcome any additional polishing, so, as I would rather it were not covered by a tablecloth.
I wondered if the finish on an excellent table a member has just completed in danish oil would show off the grain and colour on my table, I cannot find the relevent thread.
Any advice would be most welcome. Regards Rodders
