Hi All
I cleverly plugged my HC260 P/T into too small an extension lead, blew the fuse and am now having trouble resetting it. Does anyone have experience of this?
I've read threads about them blowing fuses due to failing capacitors and problems with stuck centrifugal switches, which could be it, but I was wondering if anyone knew about a mystery reset switch? On the side of the On/Off housing there's a note saying something like "Reset switch inside, machine must be restarted after power failure". SO I opened it up and there was just the usual non-interactive mass of wires and a circuit board in there.
Plugging it back into a reliable power source blew the plug fuse a couple more times, and now it makes a disturbing groaning noise when you try turning it on. No movement from the motor.
Any ideas? Where does one buy those big beefy capacitors?
Many Thanks,
Bernard
