Elektra Beckum Combi HS315 contractors saw 1993 model

I have had this saw for a couple of years but have not used it other than when I first bought it.

I intend to sell it and whilst preparing it and trying it out, I notice that the motor is not braked.

Can anyone advise if this model had a braked motor or has the brake on my one failed.
