Hi

I have a felder KF700 (2007) and the electric brake on the saw motor has started not to kick in everytime, also a couple of times today it would not start.

I checked the wiring in the plug (on the machine) and its fine, I flicked the MCB and it started first time again. I have checked the wiring in the fuse board and its fine, its has a 20 amp "C" MCB so thats OK. I also have two 20 amp outlet sockets and tried both and the same thing i.e. no electric brake every 4 or 5 stops.

I think it must be a loose connection somewhere or a kink in the cable, but any ideas?

Not that concerned over the electric brake my main concern is if its the start of a more worrying problem! but the motor sounds fine, has plenty of power.

Any ideas?

thanks

Having experienced the same problem in the past I suspect it is the NVR, either about to give up the ghost or simply that's where the wood dust is hiding!
A blow out with an airline as suggested by Bob is a good first move.

Roy.
