Wotcher Peeps. My Ebay searches suddenly included United States items a few months ago. I've searched and probed into all the menus I can, but I can't seem to limit the searches to G.B. Any geeks/technoheads/digitally literate person out there who can shed light on WHY I must see spokeshaves in Saratoga, planes in Philadelphia and Wadkin spares in Witchita?

I'm not a Yank-o-phobe, but I am cheesed at having to trawl through 000's of postal-cost-impossible items.

No, don't tell me to select 'nearest', that defeats the purpose of selecting 'time ending soonest'!!

Sam

On my phone, you refine the search to shipping: items in the uk only.

On the PC, I am sure it is a tick box down the left hand side.

I don't know whether you can change the default settings.

Just click the UK only selection, it's annoying but that's all you can do except complain to ebay.

Same arrogant EBay here. The only way I have found is to select UK at every search......a boring and inefficient way to do it.

The issue is that eBay offers this option to our Yank cousins but not to UK citizens. Dampened annoying.

I have complained ed to the selfrighteous elves at eBay with no response.. maybe time for us all to complain.

I had the same thing,3 weeks ago, american e bay and at dollars, lasted a couple of evenings, then when I wanted items ending soonest, I got stuff listed that had sold hours before, pages of it.
I put this down as a result of the superfast broadband that was started last August causing problems with my old and cheapest dell computor, 'cos it all went wonky (to use a technical phrase)! at the same time, and I now have one item on at a time otherwise it freezes, and goes more wonky.

Would you please flesh that out with a bit more detail please Marcros? I am blundering about, but can't find what you refer to.

Just in case He's not about,
When you have entered you're category, say suzuki jimny. On the left hand side is a host of "preferences" that you can enter and concentrate you're search on, reducing the stuff of no interest to you. on this particular search
You can choose on uk, or european etc B.I.N, .or Auction etc distance and a few others.
HTH, Regards Rodders

Exactly as toddlers said. If you are still struggling in the morning I will take a screenshot to show you.

I see Australian things, China and Hong Kong things too. I suppose it's to do with the new local overseas shipping thing they do which allegedly makes it easier to price postage for overseas and to actually ship something overseas. I just select UK Only when it becomes tiresome

Wow  "cheers" one and all. I've just surfaced (saw in New Year) and will try these later. Just been informed I'm "goin' shopping" :(

Hi Sam.
I had the same problem a few months back. I tried ticking the uk only box but for some reason this cut out some of the items being sold in the uk!. I managed to solve the problem by using the post code way. Just choose to see items within a thousand mile radius of your post code, and it gets rid of most of the overseas stuff. once you have set it up right click on the page and add it to your favorites. that way you don't have to keep putting in your priorities every time.
Cheers, Richard

IFIAK if you set the e-bay.co.uk site as a favourite, it will only display uk items and uk £ prices

the site can be found at the very bottom of the home page under e-bay sites use the uk one for the bookmark/favourite
