dust extraction

Hi all
can any one tell me about dust extraction, i am making my own filter system to hang on the ceiling using a bathroom extractor mounted in a box with two vacuum filters at the exit i think this should work but need to know air movement the fan is 230m3/hr and it will be in a standard 1 car garage will this be good enough thank's. jimmy
 
welcome to the forum, im not to sure but i think that might be a bit on the small side. im sure someone will be along soon that knows more than me.

What kind of machinery do you have in there, If its all hand tools you stand a chance, if not you need extraction at the machines as well

I did very similar but used Axminsters filters. It does work but only just. I'll soon be upgrading using a new cooker hood motor that I'm waiting for from ebay. That will do up to 600m3/hr according to the manufacturers so, should be more efficient (I hope).


Edit. When you say 'Dust Extractor' do you mean Workshop Air Filter?
