I have a bosch orbital sander with a 6 hole extraction pad and I wonder whether using micro perforated discs with such a setup means I will get poor dust extraction compared to a standard 6 hole disc. Logic would suggest you will, but thought I would get the thoughts of others. The discs I use are here

Maybe you can get a micro perforated sanding pad for the Bosch?

Hello,

I've used the micro perf discs and there doesn't seem to be any difference in extraction. In fact it is possibly slightly improved. I think the point of them is, they are a universal fit, since some makes of sander use different hole layouts, these will fit all. I do find the small holes are less susceptible to tearing, I've caught the big holes on corners and torn discs like that. I do tend to use my ROS for rougher work, though, so this might not be an issue.

Mike.
