Hi, looking for some recommendations for a drill guide so that I can drill at an angle was thinking of the Rutlands Utility Drill Guide, seems good value at £39.99.
Thanks

was gonna recommend the big gator v-drill guide but then noticed you said angled drill, probably best sticking with rutlands, but beware, rutlands can be hit and miss with quality.

Thanks , have the big gator made a big difference

I have a Wolfcraft drill guide similar to the Rutlands. It needs some setting up to get the correct angle and best results are with the base well supported.
Of course if you have access to a radial drill….

Thanks, discovered something new didn’t know what a radial drill was, that would be a very nice tool to have, don’t have the space and would be using it that much.
just want to be able to do the odd 45 degree hole.

Works with auger bits and brad point twist bits, both of which are preferable to spade bits for accurate drilling IMHO. Spade bits have their uses, but more as a quick an dirty hole borer - accurate they ain't
