" This bit is 60mm short, so perfect for pilot hole for 5mm screws. Its produces a good round hole in wood to a diameter of 3mm. You will need an electric (or manual) drill though to achieve this (not included). Clamp the drill to the bit at the chuck to the non-cutting end of the bit. Be aware that during operation the bit will spin very fast but this is necessary to cut the 3mm round hole. "
