Double screw leg vice

I liked Douglas Coates’ Ad-Vice so much I decided to build something similar into a full sized leg vice:

The large screw was from eBay. Built in small batches in Hungary. £75 each. I’ve just had a look and they’re not currently available.
I made the bottom screw myself from boxwood.

That’s what I had on my last bench. Cost me a tenner and took about an hour to install. Definitely better value for money but nowhere near so much fun.
