Nope but you had to remind me that back in the day, one with everything but the casting bust was at the booty for £10 and I passed it by...  #-o .
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, albeit just a bit late 8)

At that selling price, you'd expect the seller to run to something a bit better than 'Economy Delivery' though! Same for the OP - 'Standard Delivery' seems a bit scrawpy!

One little thing that does puzzle me a bit. The write-up says it has a taper iron "as it should have". I'm no expert on infill planes, but I thought they had parallel ('gauged') irons, so that continual sharpening did not have the effect of gradually opening the mouth. Am I wrong in that?

I can't say about the tapered / straight iron question, but if you want something cheaper, how about this lovely Preston item, only £31.00 +postage?

Now I know that basket cases can be restored, but this is a rusty lump with no plating, no blade and no blade clamp.
But eight people put in bids on it! Is there a paperweight shortage nobody told me about?

A lot of the earlier infills were fitted with tapered irons. Spiers is a good example. I'm not sure when the change over occurred, but would estimate it was around the 1880's. That particular Norris plane is one of his earlier efforts and proberbly dates to around 1880 so there is a possibility it started out life with a tapered iron. My day to day user in the workshop is an early spiers panel plane and this still has it's original marples tapered iron.
