I'm thinking of picking up this 1/2" router as I already have the 1/4" Dewalt trim/plunge router, so hopefully most bits should be compatible?

Anything not to like about?
Is it considerably louder than the trim router?

Also, am I right in thinking that the only difference between the following is the case?

I’ve had this & the T11 for years, both are top heavy, I don’t really like the switch on either the dust extraction is a pi55 poor & more of an afterthought than anything else, both have given good service over the years but a pleasure to use they are not.

They're a big beast ....
Are you planning to rout kitchen worktops or build staircases from scratch ?
The design is a classic. The build is a bit crude.
A lot of these get used upside down in simple router tables.

The 625 is a great handheld router, have one in a woodrat and another for handheld with Triton in my table. I think it is based on an old ELU as it looks very similar to an old broken ELU I have in the shed.
