This list of ten made me smile:
http://bilibr.com/tools-every-man-should-have-and-master
I now know I'm living in a different age.
So...
Desert Island Tools:
You've upset Norm, and he has some big heavy friends.
Your fate is inevitable: you're going to be a castaway.
He's not a totally unfair man though: You can take ten tools (only ten) to do everything.
The island has special mystical electricity, that only powers tools, but is otherwise useless.
You might build a genny, or rescue one from a shipwreck, but don't count on it.
You can have one (woodworking) book, and one luxury item, which can also be a tool, too (my game to start off, so my rules!).
And you have to say which single one you would rescue if the others were stolen by marauding Anarchists (or Chris Schwartz acting alone).
There is plenty of driftwood though, in handy PAR sizes, wonderfully free of woodworm and marine borers. Plywood has been spotted, too, floating just offshore, but beware, it might be OSB or MR MDF (with extra flotation!).
We'll decide on a case-by-case basis if we should allow kits of stuff as one tool.
So, what's your list?
E. (thinking of mine at the moment)
