I have seen engraved planes before, and frankly did not like them much at all, but that is lovely! It has a real 18th century look about it. (And yes, I know it's a C19th plane, but it's an old style.)

(And Mr P, I'm only slightly disappointed that this isn't one you bought on eBay for a song!)
 
Mr P's is going to rival it though, in 6 months. He is just sharpening his gravers...
