Hello Everyone,

I've just built my own cyclone dust collector and purchased some 63mm flexible ducting from ebay to attach to the cyclone inlet. Does anyone know of any good adapter kits for 63mm ducts?
I will be using it on various tools with different extractor outlet sizes, but I also want to use it for vacuuming the place from time to time, so an adapter that will allow me to use my vaccum attachments would also be ace.

Please advise. :)

Youre into a world of confusion here. there are so many sizes, some measured inside and some outside.

Axminster sell quite a lot of adaptors, and one giant stepped cone that you cut to your needs.

But my advice is to modify as many machines as you can to the biggest common pipe size. I've changed several different sizes from 35 mm, 50 mm, 55 mm, and glued on 62 mm tubes so that I just have one hose to worry about.

Have a lathe? If so turn the adaptors out of wood.

I like sunnybob's suggestion above.

Ive also made collar adaptors using hole saws.
Just no room for a lathe, so i adapt stuff.

I use car CV boots and steering rack gaiters and can connect any diameter to any diameter with a flexible connection.

Pvc pipe, buy oversize, cut slot length ways and squeeze to fit inside smaller pipe. Use pvc glue to weld thicker sections.
It can be a bit trial and error, and occasionally need a bit of duct tape.
