Unfortunately i have now figured out how to upload pictures, so im afraid i may be posting a little more often. :twisted:
The various items below are things ive turned as a learning process. I am limited in types of wood and time so apologise about the poor quality (these were from the earlier days, not that ive been turning too long.) So comments and tips are more than welcome.


Some of the items are part finished as you can see from the chucked up bowl , brought inside for the finish to dry.
 
Looking very good..

If by chance the tree trunk is acacia it would be a good idea to split it leaving the pith out as a plank, It likes to split from there.
 
Thanks woodfarmer. Those are older bowls. Except the chucked one its fairly new (ish). Have just started splitting down the pith today (on a coffee break). Not sure there is enough timber to take out the heart but going to give it a go on the bandsaw shortly.
