Sadly, no pictures of the sole, so we can't see if he skimped on that bit.

I think it's because Halloween is coming up.

It actually looks like powder coating - That'll take some removing!

I got a reply from the vendor: it's Hammerite.

He'd have been on the money if the paintwork was left within the inset panels, but painting the rest of the body was a stupid thing to do. :roll:

I noticed just recently a few listings with wooden planes painted riverboat style.
