Hi,

I'm a newcomer to the site, busy restoring a Coronet Major complete with saw table, planer, morticing rig and a few other bits and bobs. The m/c requires a new belt for the spindle drive, three step pulleys, and a new belt for the planer. Can anyone tell me what size they are, ie. section and length, I can purchase locally from a good power transmission shop..

Regards, texfit..

Two websites for you to peruse if you haven't already found them,

Boleyn Workshop

Don't think either have the specific info that you require. There are a number of Major owners that use this forum. Hopefully one will reply with the measurments.

If you want a copy of the manual for a Major, PM me your email address.

Assuming you have V belt pulleys, and not a late model with poly-V, I would suggest you would be better off using segmented (Brammer) belting - no need to dismantle the headstock to fit it, and no worries about ordering precicely the right length.
