Some time ago at one of the steam fairs in Hertfordshire I got an invitation from one of the craftsmen there- cooper to his workshop in Old Knebworth Estate where he was still at that time making buckets and barrels that he would try to pass some of his knowledge of the trade.
It took time before I could make it there and once I got there I was just told that he moved out somewhere towards Norfolk way. My loss, should get there earlier.
Now why I am writing this? Does anyone know a training course or a cooper who is wiling to try to pass some of the knowledge to me?
