CMT 3000 ellipse router jig

Has anyone got experience of using this jig?

Not quite that jig but I made one along the same lines. I used MDF and oak sliders with an oak arm. It works great and I have just used it recently to cut a table top to shape. The sliders are dovetail shaped and run in dovetail grooves in the plate. HTH. :wink:

Yes, I did a search for ellipse cutting and found an article about what you've described. I think I'll have a go at making it, especially as the CMT jig seems expensive. Thanks for the tip.
