I want to clean my mitre saw blade but haven't got the time to go out and buy anything or order from the internet so is there any cleaning methods which use only standard household stuff? I've got white spirit and petrol, and some kerosene in the oil tank - will any of these do? I know that I shouldn't use anything caustic like oven cleaner, or use any metal implements to scrape off the residue.

Thanks, Mark

Hi, Speed

The tips are brazed, on I don't think Mr Muscle Oven cleaner will remove the brass in the joint. I use the Window and Glass as its easy to use and you don't have to wear gloves, I use a plastic tray or a couple of plastic carrier bags a few squirts turn over and repeat, leave for a while scrug with the beass bruse and rinse.
