This is the bearing out of my new at the time 8” Clarke planer thicknesser it had to be replaced every few hours until i made a bigger bearing housing and fitted a larger bearing. then sold it on ebay. Its a bit smaller that the 5p.

I have an almost identical one and its a beast but no make and 8kg heavier.

Think I might need new blades as I'm now getting tearout on mahogany but not maple.

Fox do one with a 3 year warranty

Mine was 2nd hand from this very forum and dirt cheap.

Other wiser members will advise on Clarke and Fox as I have no experience of either.
