SWIMBO and myself are having a day out in Chichester next Friday... she's got some stuff to do in the town and I thought I would see if I could find any decent tool/woodie shops. Did a bit of Googling and came up with somewhere in Bosham that might be half decent, but does anyone know of anything else that's worth a look? - Rob

Rob, Chris White of Bosham's now in Tavistock - pretty sure the shop is no more.

Leeside Tools is probably worth a visit and it's not far away (Yapton). Their site has a map, but you'll need to use MSIE to view the site, I couldn't get it to work in Firefox at all.

Their menu at the top has never worked for me in FF or Safari, but the links scattered all down the page work okay.

Leeside is definitely worth a visit, lots of second hand handtools. There is quite a good hardware store in East Street selling hand tools. Also worth considering is West Dean college, its shop sells specialist tools for their woodworking students, see their web site for details of the location.

I live only just over a mile from Bosham and there is nothing woodworky around. On the other hand Bosham is quite a nice place for a shortish visit - Bosham walk is always worth a quick peruse - they sometimes have some quite nice craft work - and with Christmas approaching...
