Can you identify my vice

I’ve recently acquired a bench (not a particularly good bench but ok) and it came with a very interesting vice. I’ve not seen one like this before.

It has a single leaver which when raised releases the jaw to pull it out or push it in. Pushing the leaver down then locks jaws tight onto the work piece.

Does anyone have an idea of the type of vice and manufacturer?

Cant help with the manufacturer but my old place of work use to have some of these. They weren't the most reliable type of vice. Several of them had the knobs brazed on where someone previously had been banging them with a mallet trying to get them to grip. Hope you can find some info as a nice one that worked well would be very unique indeed ! :wink:

It looks very much like the vice Chris Schwarz installed on one of his bench. His is made by Sheldon, apparently
