I am currently making a tool chest with oak drawer fronts. I have bought some brass knobs for the drawers but wondered if the BZP machine screws would be ok going through the oak fronts or would the oak stain in the long run necessitating stainless steel or brass ones?

What do you think?

Cheers

An old trick with oak, using steel screws was to rub the screw on a bar of soap, prevents oxidising thereby prevents stain and the screws are really easy to remove, even after many decades...bosshogg :)
