No I did not work on that ship but i live very close to where they build it, and i saw it when they had the first tests is pretty amazing to see it close, glad you liked it :)
 
Some seriously heavy duty clamps in use there,facinating look at how hard it is to produce a beauty like that.
 
Well, not quite 2,000 years ago but very impressive indeed. The replica isn't bad either. :D
Serious woodwork on a grand scale.

I thought they came across this way after the Romans left (+- AD 450 ??)..but must have been doing it for a very long time before that to be so skilled...no?

Would they have had steel tools by then? I see they had steel nails.

Old or new - all very impressive.
