Presumably this is ok to do if I have a vent through the wall for fresh air?

I'm using a collector bin first and I thought to box in the extractor to maybe stop some of the extra dust having a chance to fly around the place. I know its not ideal but better extractor filters are pretty dear and this is a start.

No problems with extractor getting potentially short of air or overhot are there?

I built a cupboard outside the shed for my extractor/chip collector, with plenty of holes for ventilation.
It got warmer than before, but nothing to worry about.
One advantage was a reduction of noise in the shed.
