I found a piece of yew to go with the pen because Old bows were made from it and the pen being bullet shaped refers to modern weaponry so you could call it "Past and Present"

Great featured bit of wood you salvaged there, goes well with the high contrast components.

Thanks Les I don't turn as many pens as I use to, but I still enjoy doing them. With this one it was a case of finding a blank that suited the colour of the metal work and also the design of the pen this was a case of lay out the pen components and trying different blanks next to it.
