loz- have you been to Kauri Kingdom? - it's a brilliant place. There's a kauri musem at Matakohe, which is more olde worlde, but more interesting technically. A lot of the kauri is carbon dated to 35000 - 45000yrs old.

No, but a big fan of Terry Scott and Graham priddle and they seem to use a lot of the wood,
