I'm thinking of buying a pair of 1m long revo clamps. D&m tools seem to be cheapest at the moment but does anyone know of any other good deals at the moment ?

I wouldn't say they were brilliant but they're local to me so handy sometimes. Ive spent thousands in there over the years and sometimes they seem to go out of they're way to be UNhelpful

You're right though they do have good prices on bessey stuff.

Went with d & m's in the end, I'm now the proud owner of my first pair of bessey clamps.

Not had a chance to use them yet I've been busy knocking out some shaker doors and drawer fronts on the router table.

I have a couple Revo cramps in the workshop, great for awkward glue ups when you need to reach over the top of sash cramps, we used them today to spread the legs on a chair restoration job, just gentle pressure easing the joints apart. I am sure you will find plenty of uses for them.

Posting half way through gluing up, now that’s what I call commitment to the forum :)

Cheers Peter

 just having a tea break while glue sets. Think I've had enough for tonight though. Will post some pics of the kitchen units I'm building when I get time.

Sorry chippy1970, but you should have gone direct to bessey's website - I found them to be best for price when I got some of there clamps recently

Currently £11 cheaper (each) than D&M (who I do like for price)

If you're talking about besseytools.co.uk then I found it was dearer not cheaper. I just looked and the 1000 revos are around £48 and d&m's were around £43.

Apologies Chippy1970 - looks like I compared the vario version and non vario on d&m - you're right, the non vario version is £44 which is nearly £5 cheaper

I will be sure to have a stern word with myself
