Beech Hollow Form

Evening all
Another hollow form, this time from beech with an ebonised finial, size is approx. 13.75" high x 5.75" at its widest, to be fair I'm not so sure about the finial on this one, but c&c as usual is welcome

I think that is a very nice piece. I very much like the contrasting finial. It looks well made, nicely proportioned and nicely finished - can't see why you're not sure, tbh

Nice form.
Coming to the finial with a fresh pair of eyes I think you are picking up on the lack of taper.
Cindy Drozda is recognised as the finial expert - although they can be so thin as to be impracticable is some situations - they are works of art.

A very nice hollow form Andy love the shape of it, and it looks well finished.

As for the finial in my eyes there is a large gap between the base and the bulb section if this was slightly lower it would give more of a flow. Also the tip could do with being slightly smaller and the stem leading up to ittapering a little more. But then that would be my choice.
