I thought it seemed cheap but I would say £700 is too much bearing in mind that a new record BS 400 is £999.

I was swithering on buying the record when at the Harrogate show but decided to try and pick up a second hand one,I wasnt planning paying anything near £700 for it

Startrite bandsaws are hard to beat and they often seem to go for very reasonable money. It's what I'd buy if I needed to replace my bandsaw.
