I'm wanting to equip my workshop with a bandsaw. I'm pretty random in the woodworking projects I do so I'm wanting something versatile which may allow me to do things like:
- Ripsawing of boards
- Making blanks for turning
- Tenon cutting

I've read advice on this forum about getting good blades from http://tuffsaws.co.uk/ which will make a difference to any machine so I'll be following that!

So the limiting factor is my budget which is around £500ish... I'm narrowing myself down to these:

- Makita LB1200 @ £500ish http://www.makitauk.com/news/details/125.html
- Record BS12 @ £400ish http://www.recordpower.co.uk/product/standard-12-bandsaw#.VLkLZ3uAlLM
- Axminster HBS310N @500ish http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-hobby-series-hbs310n-bandsaw
- Warco 14" which pushes my budget, but tempting http://www.warco.co.uk/woodworking-bandsaws-wood-saws/302881-professional-industrial-bandsaw-14.html

I've been watching out for better 2nd hand models coming up, but due to the area I live in nothing decent comes up and anything worth considering is 100s of miles away!

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on any of these models?

I have a Record Power BS but That Makita looks very nice! the Warco is also quite compelling at the price. If I didn't have a BS I'd be keen to look at both of those.
