axminster ,what model ,help please

Hi ,can someone please tell me the model and is it any good ?getting a great deal on this and a lot of extras ,going to pick it all up tomorrow ,looks like M330 but an extra handle at the base of the head?

it looks like an axminster m 330 with a lever below the head ,thats the best i can describe it ,how can i add a picture?

spot the difference ,lever with the black ball end

It is not a lever it is the knock out bar for getting the drive or tail centre out.

There is a hole in the casting there to store it, the picture is misleading unless you already know the machine.

Hi Stevie,
It's a nice solid little lathe and is an old clone of the Jet 1016.

It can cope with 10" diameters over the bed (with the banjo out of the way) so for bowl turning it's a bit restrictive but for boxes it's great. The bed is short enough for you to hollow from the end of the lathe.
