Hi,
I'm old grumpy pants long suffering other half, can I ask a favour from dog owners please.
I'm doing a Msc in clinical animal behaviour at The University of Lincoln and I'm looking for some willing participants to help me with the Thesis.
There are two parts, sign up and be registered. Be allocated a training task to be done over two weeks then submit a video before being sent the closing survey - simples ...

If you are interested or your other half is, use this link to enrol in the project. Thanks in advance, I need all the help I can get, being married to old grumpy bolloxs for 20 plus years has been very trying ................

My daughter is doing a PhD in Animal Behaviour. What is the difference between Animal Behaviour and Clinical Animal Behaviour?

I just asked her Mike, 10 minutes later she is still going, all I'm hearing now is whaaa whaaa whaaaa ................. I think I'll get her to type a reply

Very funny!

I've passed this over to my missus. As a student she's sympathetic to research projects, as a chihuahua owner she's experienced in training exercises that deliver no observable change in behaviour.

Hi - wifey here xx

Wa wah wah explained.... just 'Animal behaviour' is not specific enough for a Phd and I'm pretty sure your daughter will set you right on that. Their research may be under the generic umbrella of 'Animal Behaviour', as is mine, and Clinical as a course title is just that - Behaviour analysed using specific techniques ie clinically, enabling a restorative plan based on the outcomes of the examination. A Phd requires years of research to support and investigate multiple theories and outcomes.

What Uni is she at, out of interest?

Linkoeping, in Sweden. She is studying various complicated things in South East Asian jungle fowl for 5 years, as well as teaching some undergraduates. She has previously studied fruit bats, spotted hyaenas, and crickets, amongst many others, during the 8 years it has taken her to get this far. Her section of the department is an animal behaviour group, but obviously her PhD is much more focused than that.
