I've seen bowl's with 'bits broken away' for sale in some of the galleries, not cheap either, didn't look any better than that. Nice one.

in the past i have glued the piece back in but my brother just loves bowls like this.
in another post i have a picture of several beech bowls and one has bits missing and out of all of the big bowls he chose that one.
i have felled a few trees but i am more of a tree hugger than a treefella and i like to think of woodturning as recycling
