I've decided to get rid of the older of my Hobbies A1 saws and just keep the younger one. Having to keep moving them around isn't doing my bad back any favours, plus I am going to buy a 'hack' motorbike for winter use, so I will need the space shortly. It's not for sale, it's free, hence putting it in here, plus I'd rather first dibs went to someone I 'met' in here.
The saw needs two new arms, which shouldn't be a problem to anyone used to woodwork, which I most definitely am not. The main metal parts are there except for the blade clamps, but there's no nuts and bolts and screws. The thin metal straps that go the length of the arms are missing, though I am sure the saw would work without them or with slightly thicker arms. I'm keeping the belt to put on my other saw, but apparently they are easy to get hold of. I reckon there's enough photos and info in this forum to finish it off.
What you see is what you get, except for the belt.
