I'd like to make a shelf hole drilling jig. I was going to just do one with 5mm holes for a drill but thought it would be better to do bigger holes and use a bushing with my Festool OF1400 Router.

Has anyone done one that they could share ideas or photos of?

Cheers

Norm :norm: did one years ago, it might be available on YouTube, but its just a plank with holes in.

Kreg do a shelf-hole jig. Decent quality, and not too expensive. Easy to use and accurate. I think the required drill bit is also supplied.

If you own a Domino 500, on YouTube, there is a video showing method of using it to make evenly spaced shelf holes. Very simple and very ingenious.

You could substitute a router and appropriate bit to make pairs of holes in the same way I guess!
