Anyone in architectural salvage?

I have two old basins and a recessed soap dish and little clue what to do with them, are they worth anything?
I'm very reluctant to bin them but I could do with the space
Ones a royal doulton with some lead crazing
The other is a standard (before they were ideal I guess) and in very good condition.
No idea about age but they're not repros.

I've had an old (Art Deco 1930s) pedestal basin sitting in my garage for several years: too good to throw, I'll sell it one day...... (never have).

But, on TV the other day watching Drew Pritchard (Architectural Antiques) he came across a 1930s basin and observed that he wouldn't buy as the 'far east (or Asia?)' has ruined that market. I inferred that new overseas manufacturers of reproductions had reduced the value of home grown antiques of that ilk.

I have no expertise in this area but offer my comment for what its worth.

i suspect that if you are selling it is worthless, but if you need to buy one you would have to pay a lot of money.

Thanks for the reply's, I really hate having to throw good quality stuff out just because cheap replica stuff has devalued it so much.
Am I alone in thinking new isn't nessesarily better than quality?

The reason the phrase "they don't makeem like they used to" exists is because.....they don't!

I seem to face a daily battle when replacing taps, I take out good quality some times old some times fairly recent but solid brass bodies with heavy duty headgear and easily obtainable washers only to replace them with cheap tat.

I'm constantly having to tell people that price and quality are no longer related, but all some people care about is new.
