I've made a diversion now from boxes to things that can contain an integral clock. This desk pen holder is made from burry ash and black walnut.
The pen trumpets are gold plated. Once again the camera angle makes it look a little wonky - but I assure you it isn't. Everything is stone dead plumb. Now I just have to find a couple of pens to fit into those trumpets! Or maybe start turning my own?
