I have to make 1800mm floating shelves in an alcove. I usually make these up to about 1200mm in a torsion box type build. I was wondering if this would still be ok for this span? If so, any recommendations for minumum size of softwood for the "web"?
Also, I'd like to get a square/rectangular pad finish sander and am between the Festool RTS and the Mirka Deos. I can't find many reviews on the Mirka and would be grateful to hear from anyone who owns or has used either or both particularly the Mirka.
