I believe you. The TLC advantage is that there is a range of units available. Just glanced at the catalogue and they have 4 differing units for sale. I have not looked at Screwfix for this but it all depends on what voltage/amperage you need.

As there was from Screwfix, plus one with a double outlet to take my Industrial Numatic and the biscuit jointer, the cables are under the floor into floor mounted box's and I switch the transformer on with a remote switch, the Numatic is on permenatley and just start up on the button, very convenient.
 
to be honest the kity was sold a couple of weeks ago, anyone recommend a replacement with a smaller foot print
with regards to wiring to shed it's like 50 ft away from the house which is armoured cable , but i was told by the sparky it was under powered for what I needed, hindsight really but thanks for all your replies anyone with a cordless saw?
