Don't use the attached form - it looks like Amazon BUT suspect it just gets your email and password for the scammers.
I went to the Amazon site and logged on as normal there was no change to my account.

Was the new email even remotely close to your actual email?

It was totally different.
But if I had completed their form they would have had the correct email AND password.

I found amazon to be very lax about compromised accounts, couldn' t get a response from them after i forwarded on suspicious emails claiming my order was on the way (hadn't ordered anything) . so cancelled the account. 6 months later opened a new one with all different details

I still can't order anything from Amazon.co.uk for delivery to France as their system can't get anything past their french depot. Oddly no problems at all from USA, France or Germany ???

Such is life.

Edit from amazon, usa, france or germany

We don't have any problems with Amazon co uk. They have been very good and on the very odd occasion that we have had problems they have been superb.

I keep getting e-mails from Farsebook telling me that I have new unread messages. When I hover over the clickables I get addresses from Italy, Russia and today one from ".com.mx" wereever the hell that is? Just googled it, it's Mexico (hammer) (hammer) (hammer) They go straight in the bin because I don't use farsebook or platter and wouldn't touch either with someone elses barge pole!

I've heard about a 'black hole 'for Amazon in France on other forums and it seems to be around your area, :(

Fortunately I'm far enough from you for it not to affect me :D

Always be suspicious of exclamation marks, unless its referring to a well known destination in North Devon !

I grew up in the place you are refering too!

Just a point that it seems quite common to blame the genuine sites for phishing attacks. They have absolutely no connection with these fraudsters and realistically no way of catching the perpetrators. They set up unsolicited email accounts perform mail out the phishing emails and disappear to do it again and again. Never log in via an email link. It is easy to get caught, I did too on an ebay phishing attack where a listing on the ebay site links to a look alike ebay site to capture the details. All turned out OK in the end but was a wake up call.

It used to be fine, but naturally they changed their system. Think problem might be that because I live on a farm they try to use the farm name as a street address in the box on their system. It got so bad with them losing stuff ( only to be returned as undeliverable) That they practically accused me of stealing the stuff that went astray and threatened to put me on a black list.. So now I don't use them unless I am going back to visit the UK when I get stuff sent there.
