Seems a very unrealistic amount, I wonder how he came to that price? Unless he's hoping the BBC will buy it back - they have plenty of our money!

I've got a dozen or so of those spools, in boxes, on the landing as I type, waiting to be tidied away or thrown out. I can probably find a BBC comp slip of that vintage and a label, and I definitely have yellow leader and splicing tape.* I'm not sure if I can still make the Revox work, but it's worth a punt...

I'm guessing it's simply a decimal place misplaced: 90p perhaps.
