also is there such an item as washer that will fit M8 but only 12mm round ?
and also cheapest way to get aluminum angle about 20mm x 20mm

I don't think anyone can really answer your questions without some idea of quantities. Do you need ten, a hundred or a thousand? One piece of ali or a truckload every week?!

doesn't matter what type of steel

angle ...need about 6m

didn't know whether to just use ebay or if there was a cheaper option

i know it is not huge quantity but it all adds up

Not sure you are going to be spoilt for choice for M8 socket head bolts at 60mm, this is my usual supplier;

You are unlikely to find M8 washers of 12mm OD, the usual internal diameter of an M8 washer is 8.4mm which leaves about 1.8 of metal left as the washer.

You could maybe use an anti-vibration washer (usually around 13.5mm dia) or a spring washer.

I tend to buy a few bolts, so use ebay. I prefer the allen head, but they are not always easy to source. If i am in a hurry, i go to toolstation and have to have whatever they carry. ebay are probably as good as anywhere- at least it is easy to compare price inc postage.

my application would be ok with normal bolts ...but i have this "thing" about allen bolts
the washer size is important...i need loads of them that could be replaced with a spacer \ packer

Hi Steve

Do you realise that the 12mm washer diameter you specify is less than the head diameter of an M8 cap screw, (12.57mm - 13mm)?

i guess easier if i explain

the m8 are going through roller bearings..aka skateboard wheel bearings
i looked at skateboard trucks ...but out of budget...although would be perfect requirement

i need some packing washers\spacers in between
i am therefore limited to diameter of washer
