Hi all,
I recently "upgraded" my old mitre saw and got a Metabo. I have been contemplating getting a stand for it but could not really make my mind up, the cheaper ones only have "single" extension rods and this causes the supports to "twist", and I was not sure I could justify an expensive one. However, doing the weekly shop in Aldi today and they have some Workzone stands for sale for £40.
I did not expect a lot and thought I would be taking it back but got it out the box tonight and I have been really impressed with the quality. Managed to get it up and running with saw attached in about 10 mins.
..so in short, if you are after a cheap but functional saw stand I would suggest a trip to Aldi pronto!!!
(The overall extended length is about 1650mm, and the legs fold for storage + it has rollers or "stops" depending on how high you set the supports....)
