Would a 50 ltr 14 cfm Air Compressor be man enough for spraying waterborne primers/topcoat/laquers in a low volume hobby capacity?
I've got an old 25 ltr compressor at the moment which was working overtime to try and keep up when I tried spraying with it at the weekend.
I really don't have enough space for a 100 ltr vessel so am considering a 50 ltr but only if it will perform adequately, or failing that im even considering the Earlex 5500 HVLP.

Advice appreciated, thanks....

Sometimes you need to try stuff out to see if it works. Not helpful if you have to buy it to try it I know but maybe you could hire or borrow a similar unit?

When I read about compressors for sand blasting everyone said you needed a compressor as big as a house, well not quite, but you get my drift. I ended up with a unit half the minimum size for my cabinet and it works fine for small stuff.
