Air blower bracket

Has anyone ever fashioned a bracket for holding the air blower
On the hegner multi cut 2 the new arm pins that fit inside arm bushes
Now come with a 6mm thread tapped inside the new pins
But unfortunately they don’t supply the bracket any more

The bracket is part number HM1601 £4.80 and I've contacted Hegner UK, no reason as to why it's obsolete to buy separately.
Only available as part of the full jointed hose kit now.
Here's a diagram of the sizes of this part.
I've made 2 of my own in the past.

An alternative is to buy a metal P clip instead, much simpler and works the same, plus you can fit it to the opposite side of the saw and blow dust away from the motor fan instead. Just use the M6 hole in the orange bracket and clamp the clear air hose where it joins the brass fitting. It works perfect.

Here is a version I've used many times in the past, 100 percent successful I've ran saws of my own with this fitted.
Your saw is an earlier M2 and uses the 8mm OD pipe so you use a 6mm brass fitting. Later saws have a 10mm pipe and will require an 8mm brass fitting and a larger P clip.
You need a 6mm P clip, I use stainless steel ones.
Then you need an m6 x 15mm socket hex cap bolt, if you have a hold down arm fitted you will need a longer bolt.
3 M6 washers, 1 M6 spring washer.
Obviously also the blue and orange jointed air pipe, these are cheap from eBay but beware some are rubbish and are very loose, buy cheap often means buy twice!!

To fit....

Use something like water pump pliers to squeeze the clamp around the air hose.
Keep the 2 holes aligned for the bolt to pass through.
Using the bolt fit the spring washer followed by the plain washer, then the clip, then 2 more plain washers as spacers. This helps distance the brass fitting and pipe from fouling on the orange arm of the saw.
Bare in mind the components I use may differ from what you actually source yourself so minor differences are to be expected and may require slight change to compensate.
