Greetings Oh Sage Ones,
I’m hoping that there will be an expert out there who can help me out on this.
My saw is a 1959 vintage, and currently has a few shortfalls.
The rise and fall lock isn’t working very well. If the locking knob is turned sufficiently hard to ‘nearly’ lock, to release it needs a hefty pair of grips.
The fence mechanism. A couple of problems here, the locking mechanism may be missing some part(s), as it fails to remain ‘up’ when released, restricting use of the traverse. Finally, the traverse feels as though it may be missing some teeth (though I don’t think it is), as it operates on a hit and miss basis.
Your help would be most appreciated.
