I wanted to see how big a piece I could make on my mini lathe that has a 50mm four jaw chuck.


I cut some donuts out of an acacia chopping board - Largest piece is 150mm - used the lathe to cut them from square pieces.


Mounted the pieces on a mandrel (AKA M8 threaded bar)



I am pleased with that.

I finished it with Superglue, the lines that you can see are ridges in the glue, the micromesh pads to polish these out wont be arriving until my birthday.
